Hush little baby, don't you cry.

Here it comes. The tears build up until they spill over the edge. The burning sensation behind my eyes...deep down. My eyes sting, filling up with salt water, blurring my vision and clogging my other senses and then the feeling travels down into my nose. They finally escape, they yell FREEDOM, and slowly explore the soft skin under my eyes, gaining speed they fall faster down my cheeks. Sometimes they take a detour on my nose and fall off the tip or they continue down my cheek into the corner of my mouth where my tongue can't resist the urge to taste the saltiness of sadness, that is, if I let them go that far. If I don't swipe them away from the peering eye. All the while, their upsetting journey is filled with the silent scream of your name.

Welcome to the heart breaking life of my tears.
